We’re thrilled to share that two of our amazing volunteers, Rebecca Starr and Benjy Katz are engaged! Rebecca and Benjy met 9 months ago on one of our post-October 7th Birthright Israel Volunteer trips, a journey that brought them together in an unexpected and beautiful way.
As Rebecca shared:
“While we were both worried about traveling to Israel during the war, we trusted our gut and ended up in the same group, on the same floor, and at the same spot on the assembly line while volunteering. Although we started the trip as complete strangers, we quickly clicked and left knowing confidently that our story had only just begun.”
We’re so proud that a trip dedicated to giving back to Israel was the beginning of their journey together. Stories like this show just how powerful our shared experiences can be! Mazal Tov! Wishing them a lifetime of happiness and love!
