Book a private Jeep tour for an exhilarating off-road journey that leaves the city behind and dives deep into the wild landscapes of the Judean Desert.

This vast desert region reveals a rare window into ancient ways of life. Traveling far from paved roads, we’ll pass through remote areas inhabited by Bedouin communities, where simple homes, grazing animals, and traditional herding practices still define daily life much as they have for generations.

Along the route, we’ll visit historic water cisterns, ingenious systems once essential for desert agriculture and still functioning today. A challenging ascent then brings us to Mount Azazel, a site deeply rooted in ancient Jewish tradition, associated with the Yom Kippur scapegoat ritual described in early texts.

Our journey continues to the remarkable Mar Saba Monastery, dramatically carved into the cliffs of the Kidron Valley. Founded more than 1,500 years ago, it is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited monasteries and remains home to Greek Orthodox monks who live in quiet devotion, surrounded by ancient hermit caves.

We return via an off-road drive through the winding Kidron Valley, where shepherds’ caves and layered agricultural terraces tell the story of centuries of human survival in this striking desert landscape.
